4 Tips For Autumn Skincare Routine. DIY Facial Masks.

After the summer sunshine our skin needs a lot of protection & skin recovery; moisturising & hydration; and skin rejuvenation. Natural face cream, gel, serums and masks are our best autumn friends.

  • NO scrubs, especially the ones that contain "chunky" abrasives. They can cause hyperpigmentation, acne and micro-tears that gradually weaken skin's barrier, making skin more prone to dry, flaky patches, redness, and signs of sensitivity. That's why it's best to opt for gentle and very soft natural scrubs.

  • Don't use alcohol-base tonic and lotions, they will dry your skin leaving it looking dull. Rich moisturisers and natural facial oils are better options in autumn. Try our Miracle Facial Oil that is 100% natural and includes Apricot Kernel Oil, Marula Oil, Vitamins E, C, D, and infused with Lavender and Neroli essential oils.

  • Choose face & body cream with SPF. Be careful here: many non-natural brands add synthetic ingredients like PABA and TITANIUM DIOXIDE that have links to skin irritation, thyroid disruption, and lung cancer. Instead opt for natural SPF cream and lotions.

  • Look inside your fridge! You will find a lot of ingredients that you can use on your face. Here are 3 DIY face masks that are easy to make and contain thousands of benefits.

  1. Coffee and Honey Face Masks (nourishment and cleansing). Take 1 teaspoon of ground coffee, half teaspoon of sugar, 2 teaspoons of honey and 5 drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Gently massage the face with the mixture. Leave until dry, and wash off with warm water.

  2. Gelatine and Activated Charcoal Face Mask (purifying and rejuvenating). Gelatine is a natural collagen that moisturises and nourishes your skin. Mix 1 teaspoon (or 1 tablet) of activated charcoal with 1 sachet of gelatine in small quantity of milk or water. Heat it in the microwave for 15 seconds. When the mixture cools down, apply it to your face. Wash off when it's fully dry.

  3. Oat Face Mask (soften, mattifying, rejuvenating). Mix 1 tablespoon of oats with small amount of water or milk. Heat it for 1 minute. When the mixture cools down, apply it to your face. Wash off when it's fully dried.

Love your skin, and your skin will love you back by looking young and glowing.
